Now you have a choice when selecting a walk-behind aerator!

The traditional aerators from the major name manufacturers have been hard to control, tiring to operate, complex machines with rotating sheet metal spoons. Plugr offers an alternative that is safer to operate, maneuvers with relative ease, has 50% fewer components and increases productivity on typical residential and commercial applications. Plugr’s unique cam powered design punches cleaner, deeper holes in tough soil conditions and is easy to maintain, reducing costly downtime. No messy water ballast or heavy add-on extra weights either! It’s time to break with tradition and investigate the advantages of Plugr.

Plugr Lawn Aerators

Easy to operate Aerator

Commercial Lawn Aerator
Superior Maneuverability
A wide, stable wheel base and start, stop, backup and 90º turn capabilities allow Plugr to aerate around landscape features with ease. This enables aeration in areas hard to reach with other machines.

Safer Operation
Better machine control translates into improved safety. Even a homeowner can keep a Plugr from becoming a “runaway train” in tight spots, on hills and along landscape walls.

More and Deeper Holes
Because Plugr relies on the power generated by the camshaft design and engine to drive tines deep into the soil, it will out-perform other rotating tine machines in most tough soil conditions. The hole spacing is closer than all comparable competing brands.

Easy Transport
Since it relies on power, not weight, Plugr has a low weight to aeration width ratio with no add-on weights or water drums to mess with. With the handle folded, the Plugr PL410 and PL400 can fit in a car, SUV or minivan for homeowner rental convenience. Once on the ground, Plugr rolls easily with the engine on or off.

Superior Tines
Instead of typical formed sheet metal “spoons” found on most aerators, Plugr uses solid high carbon steel bar stock that has been machined and heat treated. This process, along with the straight up and down action of Plugr cams, reduces side load and breakage common with rotating tine machines. Plugr has just 4 to 8 tines to maintain compared to 24 or more on other popular brands.

Quick, Low Cost Maintenance
Just release the hold downs and lift the cover for 100% access to all components. Plugr has up to 50% fewer parts to maintain. No messy chains, no complex tine removal and replacement. Applying grease to fittings every 10 hours of operation is about all you will need to do to keep your Plugr performing.

Less Down Time
Plugr is designed to be simple to maintain but when parts are required, they are no more than a phone call away. Access to factory part inventories supplements distributor and dealer availability so you will never be down due to hard-to-get parts.
Hills – No Problem!
Up hill, down hill or across a sidehill, Plugr continues to perform where others can’t. On sidehills, plug depth is maintained on both sides of the machine. Grades up to 20º or more can be traversed safely either up or down without major impact on plug depth.

Less Soil Compaction
The in-out Plugr tine motion produces less compaction on the inner surface of the hole than competitors rotating spoon designs. Reduced compaction and increased root exposure is the primary goal of aeration.

Extended Warranty
Most Plugr aerators carry a two-year replacement warranty on the entire cam and camshaft assembly including bearings and a one-year warranty on all other components excluding tines and belts. The warranty is valid regardless of type of use. Compare to other warranties, if you can find them in print.

Healthier Turf Close to Obstacles
Aerate areas previously missed with hard to maneuver aerators. Tricky corners, narrow pathways, overhanging tree areas and dangerous areas close to drop offs can now benefit from aeration, too. Plugr will aerate a higher percentage of almost any lawn.

User Friendly Hand Controls
Safety is assured for experienced as well as non-experienced operators because hand controls are easy and responsive. The right hand controls tine engagement with auto-stop handle release. The left hand retracts tines to easily skip across sprinkler heads, sidewalks, tree roots or cobblestones without slowing down, reducing damage to machine and obstacles.

Repeat Rental Customers
Do-it-yourself homeowners want easy-to-operate, safe equipment that will do a good job. If your current equipment does not meet these requirements, consider Plugr for satisfied repeat customers that guarantee a return on your rental fleet investment.

Satisfied Lawn Care Customers
Plugr does a complete job so customers don’t wonder about missed areas and irregular plug depth. The proof of the quality of the aeration will show up in the future health and beauty of the entire lawn, not just in the middle.

Optional Tine Sizes, Styles
All Plugr aerators are shipped with 5/8" diameter tubular tunes. If you desire a different tine configuration, order additional tines separately. Choose from 7/8" solid, 3/8" tubular, 3/8" solid or 11/2" tubular tines
