Model Notes: The Honda EM3800,
EM5000, and EM6500 were designed for wired remote start from the factory so this
system varies from our other wireless start systems. Unlike our other WSK-1™
systems, on these Honda generator models, you will turn the key to the ON
position to activate the remote start. This is the Honda factory setting for
remote start operation on these generator models.
The key switch "On" position does not cause a significant current draw on the
battery (View your Honda generator owner's manual further details). You could leave it in the ON position for up to a week without starting
the generator before the voltage would drop below voltage required for electric
start.
Also note, on our other WSK-1™ Systems such as
the WSK-1-EU3 for the Honda EU3000is, you do not leave the
key in the ON position as leaving it in the on position would run down the
battery. Our system for the EU3000is does not require the key to even be
in the generator's ignition switch.
Refer to WSK-1™ Operating
Instructions for starting and stopping procedure.
Always read your generator's owner's manual for proper safety and operating
procedures.
